Our HANDS Agreement The teachers and students from St. Paul and Stillwater use the H.A.N.D.S. agreement when they come together during their classroom exchanges. Here is one way that it is used: Have fun Today is a chance to smile and have a good time. Accept the challenge We’re going to be doing some unusual and interesting activities today. We may do some things you’ve never done before. We ask that you at least give them a try. Never-ending solutions At school, sometimes there are either right or wrong answers to the questions you’re asked. Today, there are never-ending solutions, which means we’d like for you to listen to other people’s answers as well… it may give your group a solution that you have never considered. Depend on others Today, there’s no need to try and do everything yourself. Work as a team, and also look for help from students who go to another school. Safety Listen carefully to directions, and during our high energy activities, consider the physical safety of the students around you. Equally as important, make sure to consider the feelings of the students from both schools as well. Keep it respectful. |
